About investPLY

investPLY is an open directory of the institutional investment consulting firms operating in the United States, paired with tooling that lets an institutional investor run a consultant search end to end — draft a request for proposal, send it to the firms they choose, and manage the responses in one place.

The directory is built from public data. Every reported figure is sourced and carries the date it was reported as of, and the methodology behind the dataset is published rather than summarized. Where a figure could not be verified, it is left empty instead of estimated. Consulting firms claim their own profile and keep it current.

Running a consultant search today usually means email chains, attached Word documents, and no shared record of who was asked what. investPLY replaces that with a structured process: the same questions to every firm, responses in one format, and an audit record of what was sent, to whom, and when.

We do not rank firms by quality, score them, or tell anyone whom to hire. Which firms to approach is the investor's decision, and the filters that produce any list are visible and set by them.
